1. What cookies are

A cookie is a tiny text file that a website saves inside your browser. It helps the site recall a setting, run a page smoothly or tally the number of visits. Comparable tools, local storage among them, behave much the same and fall under this policy as well.

Because the Site is a reference about Aviamasters with nothing to sign up for, nothing to fill in and nothing to buy, it has little need for cookies.

A cookie placed by the domain shown in your address bar is called first-party. One placed by a different domain, such as an analytics provider or a page a button takes you to, is called third-party.

2. Types the Site may use

  • Necessary cookies – let pages open properly and safely. If they are missing, parts of the Site might not behave as designed.
  • Preference cookies – store small choices, for instance a notice you closed or a display option, so that you are not asked again.
  • Analytics cookies – measure visits and show, as overall figures, which pages people read, which helps improve the guides. They play no role in identifying anyone.

No cookie on the Site gathers names, email addresses or banking details, and none supports advertising by the Site itself.

Every category serves only the purpose stated in this list.

3. Third-party cookies

Some buttons point to online casinos. After you click through, those casinos may place cookies of their own, for example for marketing or to note which page sent a visitor. The casino, not the Site, decides on these cookies, and the casino's cookie and privacy documents explain them.

Where the Site relies on an analytics provider, that provider may set cookies for the Site, limited to the same anonymous, aggregated measurement explained above.

4. How long cookies last

A session cookie vanishes as soon as the browser is closed. A persistent cookie remains for a fixed time, enough to recall a setting or recognize a returning browser, and then expires without any action on your part. Nothing stops you from removing a cookie sooner.

As a rule, necessary cookies belong to the session kind, while preference and analytics cookies tend to be persistent, since they only make sense over several visits.

None of the cookies on the Site is kept longer than its purpose needs, and an expired cookie holds no information that could later be traced back to a particular reader.

5. Managing cookies in the browser

Your browser settings give you control over cookies whenever you want. In Chrome, Safari, Firefox, Edge and most other popular browsers you can:

  • view the cookies currently saved and remove them;
  • refuse cookies from outside domains;
  • refuse every cookie, or only cookies from particular sites;
  • open a private or incognito window, which clears its cookies once you shut it.

Mobile browsers place these controls under privacy or site settings. The help section of your browser describes each step in detail.

Tracker-blocking extensions are another way to stop analytics cookies.

Settings are stored per browser and per device, so a phone, a laptop and a tablet each need to be adjusted separately.

6. What happens if you disable them

Turning off analytics or preference cookies leaves the Site fully usable; at most, a choice may need to be made again. Turning off necessary cookies could make some sections load or respond less smoothly, yet the articles can still be read. On casino sites, blocked cookies may prevent signing in or launching games.

Clearing cookies affects only what your browser holds. Any account or data kept by a casino stays as it was.

7. Changes

A new version of this policy may appear when the Site or its cookies change. The date near the top marks the version in force. General information on data handling can be found in the Privacy Policy.
